Planning your campaign For every book you sell Sunset Coupons will donate $1 to Children's Cancer Research Fund in your name.
Select a Chairperson: Place someone in charge of organizing your campaign. Although tasks such as product distribution and collecting monies may be delegated, a successful campaign usually has a dynamic outgoing personality to prompt action in others.
Set a Deadline: Your campaign should run a maximum of 3 weeks. Keeping the campaign short will keep your participants focused and on track.
Motivate Your Group: It is important to maintain close and constant contact with your group members. Motivate and encourage them constantly. This will often times determine the success of your fundraiser.
Product Distribution: List each participant's name and have them sign for their books. Mark the list again when they turn in their money. For those who would sell in excess of their assigned number of books, they may use one book to show as a sample, collect for the sales, and then get the extra books from the chairperson.
Participant Incentives: Not all fundraising campaigns need additional incentives to motivate participants. Many youth sports leagues have successful campaigns by merely requiring its members to sell a certain quota. However, some effective and fun ideas are cash prizes, amusement park admissions, or the coach/teacher agrees to wear a silly costume or weird hairdo if sales goals are met.

Children's Cancer Research Fund
Children's Cancer Research Fund is a national organization dedicated to eradicating childhood cancer by funding the pioneering efforts in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of childhood cancers at the University of Minnesota, a leader in pediatric cancer research. Many discoveries funded by Children's Cancer Research Fund have revolutionized the way childhood cancer is treated worldwide. The organization also provides education and supports quality-of-life programs for the patients and their families who come for this world-class treatment.
It has been our pleasure at Sunset Coupons to support Children's Cancer Research Fund since 2003 when we first became aware that 1 out of every 350 kids in the United States will contract cancer. Why not help us make the future a little brighter for our kids and grandkids? It won't cost you anything. Wouldn't you agree that it is a valuable lesson our young people will learn as they pitch in to help other less fortunate children?
Our History:
In 1978 Sunset Coupons began publishing coupon books distributed throughout the Southwestern United States. Since 1991 Sunset Coupons has donated nearly a half million dollars to various charities including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Red Cross. In January of 2003 Sunset Coupons partnered with Children's Cancer Research Fund to help them in their fight to find a cure for pediatric cancers. On July 15, 2008 Sunset Coupons was honored by Children's Cancer Research Fund at a reception at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center in recognition of surpassing $100,000 in donations used for research and treatment of childhood cancers.
